Type Locality and Naming

By the village of Karacha, Zirabulak Mountains. V.S. Korsakov in 1992 (1993). Stratotype in the area of the village of Karacha. Previously, these deposits were included in the composition of the Daraityut Fm of the Lower Silurian (Korsakov et al., 1962, 1984; Barkovskaya et al., 1985).

Synonym: Karachakuduk Suite, Карачакудукская св.


Lithology and Thickness

Mica-quartz-feldspar slates, quartzites, amphibolites, calc-silicate metasomatites, andalusite hornfels. Thickness about 2000 m.
